Adding an internal user to the Extra rights/ Technical features group causes some security issues, even the lower level users can access the settings page.

Is there any specific reason, why the odoo by default has been adding new users to this group?

There's an inactive user account Default User Template that defines the defaults for new user accounts.  You can edit it and it will apply to all new users you create.

Hi Chris Tringham, I removed the group from `Default User Template` and created a new user. But still adding the `Extra Rights/Technical` to the user.
