Hello, I am trying to edit the Odoo configuration file in order to get a custom module working. However, after making changes to this file it has no effect. When I rebuild the server and go back to the config file it is reset back to default. I don't know how to make these changes permanent. I am using odoo SH web shell and vim to edit the file in 'home/odoo/.config/odoo/odoo.sh'
I was told by the developer of the module that I should be restarting my server with the shell command 'odoosh-restart' but this has no effect. Thanks.
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project management
- MRP

I think that im missing something,
You dont need to change the config file in order to run your custom modulo at odoo.sh they do it for you automatically ...
About the rebuild it is intended... the rebuild drops all the information to get it again from master
In CE you should create your own module and not overwrite the core one, as any update will overwrite what you have costumised.
So you should create the module apart from base odoo, and then install it through the apps menu.
