I can't delete a post I accidentally made as an answer instead of a comment because I need 500 karma points.  This is stupid.  Why can't the forum just work without having to turn it into a game.  I'm just learning this system I'm not going to run around answering other peoples questions like I'm an expert.

Karma points are a protection against spammers or people with malware intentions and also it's more fun like this. You could always ask someone to delete your wrong posts until you earn more karma points. Karma points get earned by good questions or answers, so you don't need to be an expert, just ask properly and don't repeat already answered questions.

I delete your wrong answer already, I'm not an admin, I just have karma points

Thank you for deleting my post. I understand the need to block spammers. But wouldn't reCAPTCHA be a solution. I'm just not sure I have 500 karma points worth of questions and answers. I'm not a spam expert but I don't think they bother editing and deleting posts so from my perspective the logic for needing such high karma points for basic operations like editing and deleting or even converting an answer as a comment is unsound.
