We are trying to use the Time and Material export function in Odoo 8 but the resulting files in XLS or CSV contain reference values instead of actual values. For example, here is a header and line containing exported values:
External ID | Amount | Company | Analytic Account
__export__.account_analytic_line_11739 | -90 | base.main_company | __export__.account_analytic_account_204
Has anybody come across this and would this caused by a bad configuration or something?
This is how Odoo exporting works (at all versions). You get the 'External ID' (or computer readable identifier) of records that are linked, not the Human readable one.
The company and account are linked records.
If you export via "Export All Data" instead of "Import-Compatible Export" then you can expand Company and Account and export the NAME fields of each.
Once you have chosen the fields this way, you can save them, so every time you can export the data in the format you want.
