Sill evaluating the possibility to migrate to Odoo.

However there is a great block that prevents us from even thinking about it.

Our way of working includes employees, self submitting their expenses that are customer related and billable.

Then after approval those expenses should be visible as billable and available for invoicing to the customer.

There is no time based charging to the customers and no point for a project approach to invoicing.

We only need/expect an approved and billable HR expense, to be easily invoiced to a customer.

Till now we tried to use analytic accounts, journal entries, suppliers but no luck.

There always seems to be a gap separating the approved expenses from the invoice for the customer.

No we have not used project modules, as we just charge the customer per day, based on a flat consulting contract.

Maybe we have too many expectations from odoo, but we can not believe that all other things just work out of the box, expect billable HR expenses.

We received some guidance from chat channels for example, but they were very generic and based on "should work with" assumptions.

But we need a proof of concept that this can be done.

Any step-by-step help (you know, like addressing a 7 years old!) will be highly appreciated.
