We order boxes that contain 60 bread rolls from a supplier.  The boxes come barcoded as boxes of 60 items.  However, we don't necessary sell boxes of 60 bread rolls - we CAN sell boxes of 60 bread rolls (as wholesale), but more usually we retail individual bread rolls (or 4, or 6, or whatever).  I can't see how to set up a product in ODOO 12 to cover this workflow?  If I set the product up in Inventory as a box of 60, how do individual items get transferred to retail (i.e. draw down on that box), and to POS when we sell individual items?  I'm 100% sure ODOO can do this, but can anyone please help me with how to set it up so we capture the whole workflow -  (Barcode box) from Supplier, (Barcode box) to Warehouse, (Barcode box) to Storeroom, and finally (non-barcoded item) from Storeroom and to the retail outlet, then sale through POS?  Many thanks.

Using product packages is the best.  At goods receipt you must pack in boxes of 60.   The Barcode app will help to register goods receipt more efficient.

You can then transfer boxes - let say from warehouse to POS. And you easy sell bread by the roll.

You might also create a special unit of measure =boxof60, to be more efficient in create purchase order, if you order no of boxes.

Hi,

The unit of measure will help you to handle this case.

From settings enable the Unit of measure option and you can configure the unit of measure for the product.

To purchase and sell in different unit of measure see this odoo documentation : Purchase in different unit of measures than sales

Thanks
