I remember there used to be a Dashboard for Sales & Purchase modules, much like the Inventory & Invoicing modules. Does anyone know how to re-activate those?

If you mean the Accounting Dashboard you can activate it by enabling Show Full Accounting Features for that user by going to Settings > Users . Make sure you activate developer mode.
The dashboard is then visible by clicking on the Invoicing menu.
My question is how to activate Sales & Purchase dashboards...not accounting dashboard
Hi Marcio: Is it possible for you to post a screenshot of the old dashboards ? I'm aware of the Accounting dashboard but haven't seen anything called a Sales dashboard or a Purchase dashboard....at least not in core Odoo.
I dont have v8 anymore, but users could add reports to their dashboards, there was an option when you created filters and groups, to Add Favorites & also an option called Add Dashboard.
There is a "Dashboards" module that can be installed from the Apps menu. Once it's activated, users can add their reports to the dashboards.
Yes, the module is installed and I create my filter, Add to Dashboard, refresh the page but I dont see the Dashboard.

Nope. But I know the module is installed. The Apps menu shows it as installed
Go to Settings > Technical > Menu Items and check whether access to the menu is restricted to specific security groups.
So i filtered for Dashboard and got 9 items: Settings/Dashboard, Dashboards/Dashboards, Inventory/Dashboards, Project/Dashboards, Invoicing/Dashboards, Leaves/Dashboards, Dashboard/MyDashboard and Manufacturing/Dashboard & Dashboards. MyDashboards doesnt have any AccessRights entry.
Check the one that says just "Dashboards". That's the top level menu item.

Sorry. Can't think of anything else. Based on the information you provided you should be able to add reports to the dashboard and view them.
