It looks like replenishment is a new feature that was added in v14? I'm struggling with which method to use. Most of the products that we purchase must be purchased in quantities of 12 so I'm looking to set a Multiple Quantity. It appears that both methods all this setting. With the ability to make replenishment automatic it almost seems like reordering rules will be deprecated?
What is the use case for each method?
Hi Tim,
The replenishment and reordering rules are in fact using the same underlying model. For example, if you automate a replenishment, it will create the reordering rule with the trigger "Auto".
I don't know the details of your use case but I expect that setting an automated reordering rule with min:0, max:0 and mutliple:12 should do the job. You may also use the manual trigger and use the replenishment report to trigger the generation of the purchase orders manually (it will take the multiple quantity set on the reordering rule into account).

Thank you for the insight. They really are just the same thing. If you clear the filters all the rules show up in both menus.
