According to your experience how reliable is Odoo Point of Sale (POS) session closing and entry validation?
We have a couple of Odoo EE + Odoo.sh installations where there are only a few hundred sales events per day. Still, the closing is nerve-wrecking. Closing and validating session data requires easily some 20-30 minutes of work and it is quite common that it fails due to some kind of timeout and the validation has to be restarted again. The problem seems to be the same in versions 11, 12 and 13.
We are getting started with a large Odoo installation where we would be delivering Odoo for some 30 Point of Sales. But do we dare to do it?
Technically, I am also interested in why POS session closing takes so awfully long anyway and why there is no any progress indicator. Is it a simply put a bad design?
