Hi everybody , I am a beginner on Odoo 10 , I create a new model client  and I inherited the model res.partner because I want to add a new fields on my model client but I get this error I have no idea about the cause of this error .

Please add your code in the question so we can see what is wrong. It is not a good idea to use a dot (.) in an id too. Odoo will most likely parse this as 'get menu_1_list' from the module 'client'. Have you tried client_menu_1_list? (provided that your other XML record is named client_menu_1_list though).

Did you have modules in name "agencegharb" and "client". IF so please mention this modules in the depends in manifest/openerp file

I want to thank you all Mr Yenthe from Belgium and Mr Niyas from india for your answers , I find the solution , I put a point in the id of my model in the menuitem ,when i remove that point ant make _ it work , so never put a point in the id of a menuitem !
