Why currency (in the company bank accounts) is a read only field ? How can I change it

I need 2 company bank accounts in 2 currencies:

One account in US DOLAR.

Another account in EURO 

Multicurrency Company (first currency EURO) but it is a read only field. Please, any suggestion or idea how could I proceed?

Eduardo AFAIK, Bank Accounts's Currency will be dependant on the Account Journal that you choose.  Account Journals for Cash/Bank Account are created when you create the Cash/Bank Account (here I mean Accounting's Account in Chart of Account).  You need to specify the Secondary Currency of that Account upon creation.
