We think about changing report engine and therefore need to know which report engines will be also supported in future versions (v8 etc.). WebKit as next default report engine for v8 is out of question for us, because a graphical report designer is highly required and for WebKit, there isn't any. Pure report design should not be developers' job any longer, but only preparation and system integration of ready report design. Could you therefore give me an impetus which report engines' support will survive with OpenERP? We think about Aeroo, Pentaho or JasperReports (or whatever else providing a simple GUI designer for layout).

Hi NSC, Not sure if you are looking for an answer from community prespective or Odoo prespective. Pentaho integration is a community initiative and code is available.
