Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
There are various places where it is necessary to access some data that "belongs" to another module. From the UI it seems almost impossible to find where a field comes from, which is fine as the end user should not have to be bothered by implementation details.
But from a development point of view it would be useful to have a way of finding where data comes from, and thus what might need to be updated. Is there such documentation and if so where do I find it?
You can enable the debug mode in sub menu 'about odoo'.
You will have tooltip for each field in view.
You will have also a new menu in views to quicky edit filter, edit view, have detail of each fields, ...
Else you can set your user as technical user and easily take a look at model in settings -> Technical --> database structure.
