User email in outbound mails makes a loop?

I set my email address in user settings to use my gmail account. This allows me to get notifications from OpenERP on my Android phone. I noticed that many templates uses ${user.email or ''} thus all mails I send to clients are sent from my Gmail account name@gmail.com not alias@mydomain.com. Another downside, many free email providers consider such emails a spam and don't deliver the email to the recipient's inbox.

If I change my email address so it uses the alias instead, an email loop occurs: an email sent to alias@mydomain.com will send a notification to the same address, again and again.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
