Hi all,

I've installed the one-click installation version for Odoo 13 community on Windows 10, and it was intalled into the directory;  C:\Program Files (x86)\Odoo 13.0\

I'm trying to install several add-ons from the odoo app store, and have downloaded, extracted and pasted them into two folders within the installed directory at;

C:\Program Files (x86)\Odoo 13.0\server\addons, and

C:\Program Files (x86)\Odoo 13.0\thirdparty

Both, because neither worked for me.

Next, I went into localhost:8069 -> logged in as admin -> activated developer mode -> went to apps module -> clicked "Update Apps List" -> clicked "Update" and then searched for the app.

However, I was unable to find any of the apps via the apps module, even after restarting the laptop and repeating the process. Am I missing any steps here ? Are the files being pasted in the wrong folder , or is an instruction missing to read from those (automatically created during installation) folders?

If the items you want to install are modules(Not apps) you will have to un-tick the  "Apps " filter in the search box to see them .

If you have access to the ODOO logs you can check the first few lines to see what addons folders are loaded.

Check the addon folders you want to add, in their main folder there should be _menifest_.py file. Without it ODOO will not pick up the new modules.

Ex: C:\Program Files (x86)\Odoo 13.0\thirdparty\AddonName\_manifest_.py

In addition to this, make sure service is restarted

The apps was unchecked, logs didn't say much (or said too much and I missed it), and all the add-ons seem to have a manifest file in the main folders of the add-ons. However, I only see this for the server manifest, - should it be including "odoo/addons" ?
