I am getting these error messages entering all the details in the "Creating a New Database" page:

OpenERP Server Error

Client Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Program Files\OpenERP 7.0-20130515-231043\Server\server\openerp\addons\web\http.py", line 204, in dispatch File "C:\Program Files\OpenERP 7.0-20130515-231043\Server\server\openerp\addons\web\controllers\main.py", line 770, in create File "C:\Program Files\OpenERP 7.0-20130515-231043\Server\server\openerp\addons\web\session.py", line 30, in proxy_method File "C:\Program Files\OpenERP 7.0-20130515-231043\Server\server\openerp\addons\web\session.py", line 97, in send

Server Access denied.

What i did:

I downloaded the file for Windows installation: openerp-allinone-setup7.0-latest.exe

Installed in Windows XP SP 3

Start the pgadmin program, connect the database and entered the default password: openpgpwd. Everything is ok.

Click on the OpenERP icon, browser opened up with locahost : 8069 port

Typed in all the details in "Creating a New Database" page, the error messages appeared as described above.

Please help!

Thank you.

Not sure if this would be the cause, but I'd recommend running a virtual machine with Ubuntu to test out OpenERP. It's rough enough using it on Windows 7, I can't image how it would be to get XP to host a server.

OpenERP has an 'Administrators' password which has nothing to do with the PostgreSQL password.

By default it is admin and is best managed via the openerp-server.conf file.

That is the password needed to create a new database.
