Scenario

I've several unit of measure for the same product e.g Pack, Box, Piece

and I'd like to be able to use these uom in the POS. Also I'd like to manage the inventory

by one of them e.g Box.

Functional Solution

is it appropriate to make a new product for each uom, and then define BOM

for each product ? If so how can I consume the product without confirming the MRP oder.

If 1 Pack = 10 Boxs, And 1 Box = 10 Pieces, I know the quantity of the product can be float number.

So if there any drawbacks if I make 1 Piece = .1 Box in the BOM of the Piece.

Customization Solution:

I'm thinking to make some changes in the product form to make things easier and faster. So I'll be able to make some products

depends on other products. e.g Pack = 10 boxs. and Peice = .1 Box. And if such attribute defined in

the product and there is a move the system will deduct the qty*ratio form the parent product [box].

I did a bit search but not find an appropriate solution, I hope someone know how to manage this issue ...

Thanks ...
