I expected the returns process (when a customer returns a product) to be similar to a sales process, but this seams not to be possible. I need a product return to be connected to a refund/credit note and it should also be visible in the sales module. Only in the sales module we can see how many products a customer has bought and returned.

I can not find any information about how this is meant to be processed in Odoo. Thanks a lot for a clear and complete explaination.
