Thanks in advance

##more info ### It looks like my table res_users does not have alias_id column. See errors during login above ( I'm upgrading from 6.1 to 7.0 ) Could someone advice on how to create it correctly? ( type ,value , etc. ) Should be schema updated from 6.1 to 7.0 ? ########

mydatabase=# select * from res_users; id | name | active | login | password | email | context_tz | signature | context_lang | company_id | create_uid | create_date | write_date | write_uid | menu_id | menu_tips | date | action_id | user_email | context_project_id | context_section_id | context_department_id

########

3-rd stage. I added missing colomn as below : ALTER TABLE res_users ADD COLUMN login_date timestamp without time zone; ALTER TABLE res_users ADD COLUMN partner_id integer; ALTER TABLE res_users ADD COLUMN alias_id integer; ( I'm not sure about types , but i assume them from \d res_users; output .Are types correct ?) postgresql restart openerp restart

Now I'm hitting this during login : OpenERP Server Error

Could someone advise ?

Is there way to upgrade database schema , table structure during 6.1->7.0 upgrade process ? ( instead adding missing colomn into table )

####### Stage4 ######## I added around 20 missing column .. Info taken from web interface logon complain like below: "ProgrammingError: column res_partner.state_id does not exist".

So column added was : ALTER TABLE res_partner ADD COLUMN state_id integer;

( column type was taken from new database created on 7.0 , output from command like below : newdb=# \d res_partner; )

Hitting error during logon now :

ProgrammingError: relation "mail_alias" does not exist LINE 1: ...ts",mail_alias."alias_user_id",mail_alias.id FROM "mail_alia...

any idea ? Thanks.

Are you trying to use the same modules from OE6.1 in OE7?

Author

Thanks for fast replay Grover. I did not changed modules. So yes , they the same . I can not login to web interface ,and double check modules installed.

Well I mean Custom modules. because custom modules of OE6.1 doesn't work on OE7 without some changes.

Best Answer

The error is for "login_date" column which is not showing in your select query result. i.e. login_date column is not present in database table. You might have added it in _columns of "res.users" table. To resolve it, upgrade base module.

If it still giving an error while log - in then do one thing open pgadmin and then add this column from there with your desired parameter, because OpenERP instance considering all columns at the time of login only so may be it will not allow you to login in the system if you have done any column addition in res_users table.

Hi, I got the same error when I started openerp v7 server and tried to login to database created using v6 addons.
