I've searched Google and the Knowledge Base as well as perused all facets of the Inventory, Manufacturing and Quality modules to no avail.
I'm looking for a flag or trigger that STOPS future production that requires a certain part (if there is a massive supplier defect) or certain sub assembly (if there is an issue in my internal process). Is there a way to isolate these two types of issues, as well as any other issue for that matter, within Odoo?
You can probably meet this requirement using the QUALITY App.
1. Create a Quality Control Point that must be completed before a Manufacturing Order can be completed **

2. Your user will see this if they try to Manufacture:

** if you have two (Pick components and then manufacture) or three (Pick components, manufacture and then store products ) step Manufacturing setup, you can also define it on the PICKING.
