Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
I am just getting started setting up multi-companies setup and for that I understand I need to go to preferences in the top right menu to swtich between companies. The problem I am facing is that nothing happens when I click on the button. I went to the log to see if there was any error, but nothing there either.
Any Idea what can I do? I am running Ver 7.0-20130131-000102
EDIT: I also installed the latest buil, yet the problem persists.
UPDATE: When I run the JS tests in developer mode I get one error, the following:
- OpenERP Server Error Client Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/ubuntu/Downloads/openerp-7.0-20130131-000102/openerp/addons/web/http.py", line 195, in dispatch response["result"] = method(self, **self.params) File "/home/ubuntu/Downloads/openerp-7.0-20130131-000102/openerp/addons/web/controllers/main.py", line 737, in duplicate return req.session.proxy("db").duplicate_database(*duplicate_attrs) File "/home/ubuntu/Downloads/openerp-7.0-20130131-000102/openerp/addons/web/session.py", line 31, in proxy_method result = self.session.send(self.service_name, method, *args) File "/home/ubuntu/Downloads/openerp-7.0-20130131-000102/openerp/addons/web/session.py", line 98, in send raise xmlrpclib.Fault('AccessDenied', openerp.tools.ustr(e)) Server Access denied.Source:

I guess you have to give access to multi-company for your users who want many companies com switch for.
In Settings->Users->Users and add the companies which the user can switch in "Allowed Companies" section.
I guess you already did, but you have to check "Multi Companies" option to user be able to switch company through user preferences
