Hi everyone,
Here we are using linode server for openerp having 8 GB RAM,Core Processor 8,ubuntu version 12.04. It takes too much of time to load a database and for selecting menus in it ,is it because of more datas in it or did we want to clear the log files ?
Pls help me to find a solution for this .
I run my development OpenERP server quite fast in dual-core 2 gig ram virtual machine without any trouble. My guess is that you either have a huge amount of records in some tables and/or misconfiguration on your server. The hardware should not be the bottleneck in this case.

In order to get a more useful answer to your question, i'd recommend providing more information about your setup (eg. Linode VPS specifications), environment (eg, OS, setup), and any other information that might help in troubleshooting this (eg. size of database, number of products,etc.).
This will help you get more useful/applicable answers to your questions.
A snippet of the OpenERP log file while the server is starting till it is ready will also help to identify the potential bottleneck.
