I just finished a new module that displays tips on top of the main area (in oe_view_manager_header table).
Tips are displayed randomly once page loaded. Tips can be set for the entire ERP or for selected models.
I'll drop it to GitHub ASAP.

At the installation, demo data are loaded.
Some Tips are attached to models. If you have installed Sale + POS apps, some tips will be displayed only when those models are launched, otherwise tips are diplayed everywhere in the ERP.
A top menu "Miscelleanous" is added. You can see/edit tips there.
This module will definitely help new users to take over their usage of functionnalities that are pushed to their desk. No doubt that your experience with Odoo modules (enhanced POS for instance) warrants sound proposals for tips.
