Need developer help to edit template for - Invoice, Sales Order, Delivery Order, and etc

It's taking me too much time to study RML and etc to make a one time change for all the reports that we intend to use. I want to edit the template for these reports to be printed on computer generated paper

  • Invoice
  • SO
  • Quotation
  • DO
  • Credit Statement

That's pretty much it. I've googled about webkit report and etc, but the addons does not install invoice report and etc. Please advice if anybody is able to help out with this. I already have an idea of the layout, it'd be pretty easy (maybe a 10 min job) for those who knows how to do it.

Hi

You can use Openoffice Report Designer which is quite easy to create new report or to edit an existing report for any module in OpenERP. You just need to download the OpenOffice Report Designer module and configure your local openerp server in the OpenOffice , so that you can download any existing report and edit or create a new one. After finalizing the report you can export it to your openerp server.

Also you can refer to this : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18570282/openerp-basic-reports

Cheers

Yes I've played with that. It is somewhat buggy. For example the original invoice from openerp has a "source" field. Upon downloading and reuploading it, the field disappeared. More that than the layout would then be messed up. When trying to create a new report, it take forever to get the field to load from the server. It's really slow. I don't understand why'd something so simple and crucial so difficult to get done in openerp

I've emailed the excel templates over. Thanks!

Hi Damian, What is your actual requirement in that above mentioned reports let me know ... I will do it its not an issue maybe hardly 30 to 45 min, and it will be done for you ... Happy !!!

Hi Abhishek, it's extremely simple. Quotation, Invoice, SO, should be almost identical. It would contain very basic information found in almost any invoice. I don't even need any graphics and etc. It's just a number of tables to house the fields. The Header and table borders will be pre-printed on computer genrated paper. I don't know why openwriter does not work properly. After adding a loop, I can add a field under it but I cannot add anymore loops or anymore fields if I moved them to tables. It'd be much better if I could upload an excel template and that would give you a better idea

Here's what I've done. I disabled RML header, and I've also set it to false in the report.py. The problems I'm having now is that the tables are not static, the layout is not sticking to where I set them to be and some text are out of alignment. I need the text field to wrap inside the table. The currency is in reversed. Here's the public access to the sample files ------------------ https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0gpYXKURqQxY1ZvczFOYkhXTzg&usp=sharing --------------
