help.openerp.com used to say I needed 50 points to include a link. I'm happy that number has come down a bit. But I can't seem to figure out how to make it work right.

I type in my text like

Something wonderful happens here.

then highlight

here

push the link button (or CTRL-L) then enter the URL

http://doc.openerp.com/v6.0/developer/2_6_views_events/views/design_element.html

And the preview looks and works GREAT, but a mess appears after I push the "Ask Your Question" button. Like this:

Something wonderful happens here.

This is definitely a karma-related feature. Indeed, I just edited your question to correct a typo and it all appears as you wish now in your question (because I have enough karma for links).

So, you are doing everything correctly, but you just need a little karma-push. Here, have an upvote :)

Why did you add [Meta] to the title of this help note? Did you mean for that to be <meta> instead as defined [here] (http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_meta.asp)? (Well, that's interesting... comments don't support the same markup as answers.)

[META] is a markup for questions about this very site. Search for [META] and you will find other questions that are related to help.openerp.com

Thanks @Fabrice, http://Help.OpenERP.Com is working much better for me now! I appreciate your help identifying and getting me past this bug!

Now that's interesting; the http://Help.OpenERP.Com reference is turned into a link auto-magically; except that it's improperly bound the link... it left the "m" out so click-ers don't get to the correct place. (Hmmmm... and in this case the comment editor has the same bug as the answer editor.)
