I think that you've updated your files recently. So you've to update some things. Update your mail module. If you've access to update it through system do it.

If don't, please use this commands: 

openerp-server -d DATABASE_NAME -u mail

It depends on how you installed your server. Anyways the solution is update mail module. NOT uninstall and reinstall it, that's going to delete your data.....
