I've turned off the fire wall and port forwarded 8089 and still it wont open? what else can I try? this is new install on Windows XP Pro SP3.

Hi,
As par my understanding of your question you want to run odoo on on 8089 port no,am i right ? if you opened a new port 8089,did yom make change in your odoo conf file?
you also need to give like xmlrpcport=8089
need to save odoo conf file,restart odoo server and put that localhost:8089 URL in browser it should work.

Have you changed the port by your self? Normally the std. port is 8069.. So if not changed then try 8069.. Good luck!! /M
I didn't change any port('s). When I goto the start/program files/OpenERP, and click on the shortcut to start it. it opens my browser to: 'localhost:8089' . And page can't be displayed. So I tryed turning off the firewalls and port forwarded port 8069 to my local IP address. and still nothing.
