Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
I've read in some forums that openerp is not good enough for accounting but for something else. is this true, at fair value? Please, do help. i want to use it mainly for accounting but CRM functions will be applied with time. thanks
Every technology has Pros and Cons. Also, 'Accounting' means different things to different people, and there are different requirements influenced by standards and legislation in your region of the world; the type of industry you are in; the company you work for; and the skills and philosophies of the Controller/CFO/Accounting team/Payments team. Are you also doing stock accounting? (Valuing work in progress etc?).
We have had good experience in the USA with our clients, although OpenERP isn't GAAP compliant. All of our clients have been able to be successful with the Accounting module without major issues.
