Is only one way to add on_chanage?

Is only one way to add on_chanage event to inherited field, using position="replace"?

For example I want to use another solution to add on_change to move_ids field:

<field name="move_ids" position="replace">
    <field name="move_ids" on_change="on_change_move_ids()"/>

Yes, you can do so.

There is another way to add/replace attribute:

<field name="move_ids" position="attributes">
    <attribute name="on_change">on_change_move_ids()</attribute>
