Is it possible to write tests which test views/wizards of the backend?

The test should test whether one field is available or not. Also I want to test whether the input field contains the right value.

AFAIK, currently there is no tools to do so.  But I don't think it would be that difficult to develop.  You just need to extract the fields_view_get, specifying a specific view ID or just the view type and you'll get the arch in return, with all the Access Control List and view inheritance taken care of.  From there, you can see which fields, buttons, etc. are shown.

You need to be aware that fields_view_get may return different arch for different user ID based on the user ID's Access.

EDIT: If you activate Developer Mode, this tool is available from the Debug dropdown.
