I suppose, that i have to extend functions from the openerp/addons/base folder.

you could call it a core function, as it's part of the view manager header and sidebar, but that doesn't mean it cannot be extended ;). E.g. we extended the tree/kanban view header with two custom filter dropdowns in our own odoo instance. 

But you'll need some odoo/python/js knowlege.

i have the same problem. Does anyone know how to add another button? Or are these buttons core functions and you can not add another button on your own?
