Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
I've installed odoo community software on my windows 10 pc. It works fine. But I need to use it on my company's website. For instance www.humancapital.in/odoo. Can this be done and which download type should i use (like Windows, Source install etc). Can I upload odoo community setup files to my webserver and run the odoo install?
first of all, you should decide whether you would like to run the instance on your local PC or internet.
For local, you can simply open the port 8069 through your modem/firewall and you need to have static ip, an ups for keeping the PC alive all the time and of course high bandwidth for reaching outside. After you should adjust the DNS from your domain to point the address to your home pc (I advise to use odoo.humancapital.in here)
For internet, godaddy has option to install odoo automatically, or you can use aws amazon services to rent very economic ubuntu instances and do necessary to have your instance online all the time. (creating an instance, using putty to connect ubuntu, installing odoo by terminal, adjusting dns and etc...)
I advise to use any of internet options since you dont have to deal to pc alive all the time and most importantly the bandwidth.
