I tried to install the Issue-Tracker-Module in OpenERP 7.0-20130217-002303.

The installation fails with the following error:

File "D:\OpenERP 7.0-20130217-002303\Server\server\.\openerp\tools\convert.py", line 847, in parse

The German error message means, that the date/time-value is not within the valid range - which is true for the 30th of February ;-))

Obviously this module uses the same code as the CRM module where this error occured, too.

Since this is a bug report (see answer below), it doesn't fit the scope of this Q&A (http://help.openerp.com/faq/) and therefore the question will be closed.

actually, this IS the same error :-) as you can see in the traceback, the code is trying to create a crm_lead (crm_lead.py), which is an object from the CRM module.

This bug has been solved for weeks now, you should get some fresh code, update your source repositories and everything will be just fine.

To check that you have the code with the fix inside: go in your addons directory[*], open the 'crm' directory and edit the file 'crm_lead_demo.xml'

check the line 363. If it is written

     <field eval="time.strftime('%Y-%m-30')" name="date_deadline"/>

it means that, for an unknown reason, the fix isn't applied[**]. Must be replaced by the line

     <field eval="time.strftime('%Y-%m-28')" name="date_deadline"/>

Then restart your server and make a new database.

[ * ]: probably located somewhere like 'C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenERP-7.0-xxxxx\Server\openerp\addons', if you don't find it make a search for the file 'crm_lead_demo.xml'

[ ** ]: actually, there was a bug preventing the all-in-one to download the latest code from v7, so even if it was fixed in the branch you were still getting the old code from apps. This bug is being solved by now and in few hours/days the new install of the all-in-one should work like a charm. For the ones who already got an all-in-one, you can still update crm/crm_lead_demo.xml file as i explained above. We are currently putting in place the system that will warn you when an update is needed on one of your module.

If this bug had been solved for weeks, why does it come up, when I install the "latest" windows download?

well... this IS very strange! can you check the content of the xml file where the bug was located? I put the 'how-to' in my previous answer because it's more convenient for reading.

reason why you still get this error explainde in my answer. The best solution, i guess, is to manually edit the xml file (or wait till the 1st of March)
