I ask question for getting an information .

Question is . I have three different OpenERP databases named D-main,D1, D2, D3 .  I want to know about is it possible to fetch the reports of these three database(D1,D2,D3) in the main database D-main .

Did you get the solution?

Hi,

There would be a way, but that would mean manually modifying the databases D1,2 and 3 to override the reports table with a view that points cross-database. You might want to look at this http://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/FAQ#How_do_I_perform_queries_using_multiple_databases.3F for a pointers on how to create cross-database querries in postgresql. Keep in mind that this would most likely break on upgrades and would have to be reworked if the system is upgraded.

Hai Mchael..... Thanks for the reply. How can be establish these in openERP. Is there any module in openERP .

There is no module to do this and I don't think a module would be the right way to go. What you could do is proceed with your 3 databases and then drop the report database from D1,2,3 and create a view that points to the main database. Alternatively, I believe there is a mechanism in OpenERP that uses the base rml files if there is no entries for the report in the database. If so, you could simply empty the report database on all your instances and it would load the base rml files.

- maybe you can use xml-rpc inside a private odoo module

- to get an report as pdf file  is only one line of code with OERPLib

- let me know if found a way to send the pdf temp file generated by OERPLib to a webbrowser session
