Hello, we want to use odoo inventory for managing our warehouse, we dont sell our products, instead our employees will check out the products they need to use and return them when they are done. How do we do this with odoo? can somebody help?

Have you seen the Maintenance App?

This might be a better fit for managing "Equipment" which can be assigned (and reassigned) to Employees.

Using Odoo 8.0, you can setup your system as 'Manage multiple locations and warehouses' from the settings->Configuration->Warehouse

From the Warehouse->Traceability->Stock Moves menu, open the 'Stock Moves' screen. When you need to give a user some product, 

then create a stock move with 'Source Location' is warehouse where the product is located in and the destination Location be the "Partner Locations/Customers"

When you need to return the product back from the user, create a stock move with source location is 'Partner Locations/Customers' and the destination is the 

warehouse you need to put the product back in. You can put in the 'Destination Address' the user that took the product
