Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
We have setup our OpenERP7 and added ssl redirection by following the guide provied by schenkels This is working greatly since many months without issues
Now we want to use OpenID to logon our OpenERP server. We activated the OpenID module and set the users with their OpenID.
When we login, we are redirected to our OpenID provider pages wich asks us to confirm login to our server but the URL provided is beginning with
And so I got an error of nginx reverse proxy telling me :
400 Bad Request The plain HTTP request was sent to HTTPS port
If I edit the URL in the browser addresss bar to add the missing "s" after
http, then the login process complete and I get into OpenERP. So it would be nice if OpenID module can send the correct URL to the IdP or to rewrite the URL at nginx level but I am not sure I can put a rewrite condition in nginx because as far as I know nginx is not able to receive http and https on the same port... How can I fix this ?
Thanks for your support.
I do not know schenkels guide but if you are using nginx you can set up in a way so that you rewrite the url from http to https. benefit is that you always are protected even if your user type http they will be connected by https
to Ad Libitom: thes 2 parameters are provided by you OpenID provider
Apparently you received no answer from this communty.
Did you receive one from others or said differently did you solve your issue and how?
As far as I am concerned as a non expert, I am trying to understant the openid set up in Odoo and more precisely which parameters I need to pass to the system for the 2 parameters proposed by Odoo, URL Openid and Email openID.
Do you have answers or guidance for these 2 parameters?
