how to trace an error ?

I get this error when I start my server

IndexError: list index out of range

 

how can I fix it ?

Hi

I ran into the same issue when try to upgrade the wkhtmltopdf. I trace the error occured in the Report module. I just solved by using the following:

   1) open the file "/home/user/odoo/openerp/addons/report/models/report.py

   2) Edit inthe line 59

'version = out.splitlines()[1].strip()'

as

'version = out.splitlines()[0].strip()'

Changing the index 1 to 0. ('wkhtmltopdf 1.20.1','')

I hope there are many ways also. Best thing is to upgrade the report module or use the latest Odoo V8 Distribution from the bazaar.
