I need to take a database backup automatically in my ubuntu server.How to do it???

Use this module:
https://www.odoo.com/apps/7.0/crontab_config/

The best part about it, it also allows you to create test database automatically for your clients to try things out, with different logo.

If you are looking for a openerp module, then there is a module in community that is used for auto backup of database. It is in 6.0 version but you can use/migrate for 7.0 also.

Set up a cron job to run a PG dump command.

Google how to periodically backup PostgreSQL databasse and you should find ressources to help you achieve this.
