use the concept of context like:

pass the context in the form view:

<field name="an_one2many_field_ids"  context="{'only_with_tree': true}">

collect the context in the tree view for  specific fields:

 <field name="my_fields" invisible="context.get('only_with_tree', false)"/>

hope this may hep in your case.
