I'm learning and experimenting with module development :-), trying to extend a installed module.

I understand (why) is no good idea to copy the module and modify it insitu (easy path), but create a new module thats dependent on it. I'd done so far with success in extending the python and view (xml) land, but now I want to modify a function on the client side code (javascript).

I'm a little clueless and can't find anything in the documentation. I believe that have to extend the js object and replace the function but, how is this new function called in place of the old?

Any ideas will be wellcome!!!

Thanks
