Being in the debug mode, is there a way to know in which module was defined or created a particular field or view? For example, if I want to modify a view it would probably like to see the module in which it was defined to make a new custom module based on it.

Thanks! Luis

You can filter views by going Settings > Customization > User Interface > Views.

By searching, you can see module_name.xml_id in External ID in list/tree view.

Thanks! This is the way for the views.

If i understand your question, have you tried going to Settings > Customization > Database Structure > Fields

in their you can search for the field and in which module it is defined.

Btw, thats for OpenERP 6.1

For example: I changed the type of field for crm.lead action_date from date to datetime with a custom module. But when I try to find it in Database Structure > Fields it says "in the modules: crm" but it won't indicate my custom module where it was at last modified. Shouldn't it?

have you restarted the OpenERP service? Correct if Im wrong, you have a custom module (you inherit from crm.lead)? Why not go to Database Structure > Models and search for your custom module.
