How to import the library management module to ERP7?

Hi all,

I am currently trying to evaluate OpenERP7, which proves to be rather "challenging" due to quite severe problems with documentation (if there is any, I could not locate it).

I came across this: doc.openerp.com/6.1/technical_guide/library/

I downloaded version 5, having absolutely no clue what a "trunk" is in this context. After hours of research I found out that I have to manually put the .zip file in the server\addon folder of my installation.

I basically had to fiddle around with this: acespritechblog.wordpress.com/2012/12/05/how-to-install-new-module-in-openerp-7-0/

finally I found the module in the installed section.

So far so good, when I try to install it now I receive this error:

OpenERP Server Error

No idea what module is being referred to... it's a bit like asking for directions and then someone tells you that the place you are looking for is somewhere...

The 3 dependencies are being shown as installed, but I am not sure if that means anything. The install for the library management module failed but it is still reported by the system as being installed. Weird.

Anyway I am stuck here and I think I will have a look at other solutions soon as this software seems to be pretty unusable and undocumented to me.

Thanks in advance for any help you could give, T.
