I don't know is there any configuration or any trick is there or not. As per my knowledge there is no configuration to hide/disable notifications.

But there is a way to remove notification area.

If you are creating custom module then you need to inherit the view and then remove message_follower_ids and message_ids fields from view.

If you don't want to create any custom module then you can directly remove following code from xml file.

Ex: If you want to remove notifications from Sale Order, remove following code from sale_view.xml

<div class="oe_chatter">
        <field name="message_follower_ids" widget="mail_followers" groups="base.group_user"/>
        <field name="message_ids" widget="mail_thread"/>

hi Sudir , i tried it but still no changes. Is it stored any where else?
