How to create a sub account of an existing non-view account in charts of accounts

Hi there, we are trying to add a sub account to the account 006000 - Office equipment (inc computer equipment) - please see http://snag.gy/Rt6BH.jpg

but there is no way to add 006000 as a parent account, there are only accounts with "view" type when you click "Search more..." in the Parent's dropdown.

Is there any way to add other types of accounts to the list?

Account number 006000 is not view; hence it cannot be a parent account. you have to change its type to view. then assign it as a parent of the new account.

parent accounts can only be views. a view cannot have any transactions assigned to it directly, it works as a parent ans collects the total number of all its child accounts.

As Hesham states, only Accounts of Internal Type View can be parents.

If you have to run transactions through an account separately, you may be able to 'simulate' the concept with three regular accounts with codes indicating the relationship:
