Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
I want to switch to Oodo platform...I am currently working in an engineering college as a lab instructor in India, rajasthan..but since not much growth scope is there , I want to be a part of Oodo..all of you here are exprts in this field..kindly advice how to strt with..what kind of learning path i shud take to strt my career here.. the technology is new for me.
First of all, you have to learn Python. For this I would recommend: http:\\learnpythonthehardway.org
I started learning Odoo about 6 months ago because I was fascinated by the wide range of functionalities and plugins. It's really a great framework. My journey began with this book: https:\\essentials.odoo.com. After I read the book I was able to develop my first own module.
Later I read the tutorial about building a module from the official odoo documentation: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/8.0/howtos/backend.html
Now that I'm not a beginner anymore, I often look for solutions in other plugins. For that purpose I have an Odoo installation with a big amount of plugins installed from which I can get useful information about the implementation of business logic and user interface.
