How much RAM memory does an Odoo8 installation require?

So far I have been using 1Gb RAM VPS; I would like to move if possible to 512Mb RAM VPS

Is that enough for a low-usage installation (2/3 concurrent users)?

Regards,

Don't ever put an Odoo on a 512MB server, sooner or later it will run out of memory in crash. Stay with 1GB.

512MB is not enough for Odoo. In my case, I create a 2BG virtual memory for my 1GB VPS.

How many users does your installation support?

just 3 users. I use the 512MB VPS before. and the openerp 7 always dead, need to restart. after upgrade to 1GB, the system is more stable. I'm using odoo 8 now.

If you are using the website builder, you should have a minimum of 2GB. This is my own bitter experience on AWS EC2 instances :-)

Thanks for your answers, I will definitively follow your advice and go for 2Gb RAM. I always wonder why so much memory is needed, in the past people managed to go to the moon or to handle the entire US census with a bunch of Kb's :o)
