How do I get it to stop trying to send emails? (V7)

I'm in Eclipse and testing the Authentication via LDAP (auth_ldap) module at the moment. But after certain events (like a failed login attempt) I get an error log message in the Eclipse console. Unfortunately after the useful log error I get the same message over and over.

Here's the full message:

repeated...
non-stop...
until I shutdown the server...

Once this starts I can't find any way of stopping it, and I suspect it's eating CPU cycles, and maybe filling the log (not sure where to check for the log though, ideas?)

I don't currently have any outgoing or incomming email servers setup.

Any idea how to stop it? (Aside from configuring outbound email)

Try to deactivate the  Email Queue Manager under Settings --> Scheduler --> Scheduled actions
