How can one reset the Masterpasswort ?

I have also found this links. They are obsolete. V7 is installing without this .openerp_serverrc. Could you post the content of your file, and the exact location ?
Hi you can find this file in etc folder
on my system it is not. I have a openerp_server.conf there. I added admin_passwd=......... and restarted python /opt/openerp/v7/server/openerp-server -c /etc/openerp-server.conf but the password is not working
There is one line like admin_passwd = admin put your new password there

Which one do you talk about? The one that helps to create databases or the admin password for each database?
