I am following these steps to add my custom module to odoo.com/apps?

1. Signed up to git hub and add my custom modules to repository

2. Goto odoo.com/apps -> clicked on "Submit your Apps" button -> This will take me to my repository.

3. Created one repository using "my repository" menu.

But this repository not validating. I am getting "

Error when updating git from https://github.com/Samba-Odoo-Apps/8.0#8.0

returncode: 128

output:

warning: Could not find remote branch 8.0 to clone.

fatal: Remote branch 8.0 not found in upstream origin

Unexpected end of command stream

" this error. Can any one help me please?

I've answered this before. Your file structure on Github is strange and not correctly built, you should really look at that. Normally this link should work : https://github.com/Samba-Odoo-Apps/8.0#8.0 if it doesn't it is because Odoo cannot handle your 8.0 name. You should rename 8.0 to sales_partial_automation to make things more clear.

For example my path that I've used to put it on apps.odoo.com is https://github.com/Yenthe666/auto_backup#8.0 so doing so for you module too will work.

Best Answer

If you want to do it that way, then you must learn git command line first. Otherwise you may manually paste you module forler to the odoo/openerp/addons  directory of odoo (not recommended), or best add the path of your local directory of custom module to you odoo start command

@Hesham I think you've misunderstood. He wants to upload his app to apps.odoo.com, not on his own Odoo. He wants to make it available for others.

Opps. Sorry. My mistake.
