Hi guys, anyone knows this'

From "messages" any email I send is sent through the lowest priority outgoing email server. If so why bother with priorities.. as anyway we are only able to use "one" outgoing email server (I find no way to use a different outgoing email server than the lowest).

Even more, if several outgoing server has the same priority only one of them is used all the time (looks like OpenERP prefers the first one created).

I would expect that, when sending an email, some basic rule would be performed to choose the outgoing mail server... like for instance if user Foo is sending the email then I would like to use the outgoing email server foo@mydomain.com

BTW, I see this is not so new question, but yet don't find the answer.. maybe I am all wrong from the start? http://forum.openerp.com/forum/topic33238.html http://forum.openerp.com/forum/topic32704.html

Hi, we are facing the same issue. We would like to have 3 different outgoing emails configured. However the automated server action / workflow takes the first outgoing mail server.

OpenERP always uses the server with the lowest priority. See question https://accounts.openerp.com/forum/Help-1/question/2345/

But what you can do is to define different outgoing mail servers for different email templates. See menu "Settings / Technical / Email / Templates"

For different smtp for users you may try to use this small module: github.com/bamps/smtp-per-user
